Apna Dal (S) national president Anupriya Patel, expressing confidence in Rinki Kol, has made her the candidate from Sonbhadra parliamentary seat in place of father-in-law Pakuri Kol. The National President has surprised everyone by making Rinki Kol a candidate. Anupriya Patel herself is contesting from Mirzapur parliamentary seat.
Apna Dal (S) MLA Late from the Assembly Scrutiny. Rahul Prakash Kol died on February 2, 2023. He was suffering from cancer. Apna Dal (S) candidate Rinki Kol was victorious in the by-election. Rahul Prakash Kol was MLA for two consecutive terms by winning the elections in 2017 and 2022.
He had won by defeating Bahujan Samaj Party. His father is the MP from Pakuri Kol Sonbhadra. After the death of Rahul Prakash Kol, Chhanbe assembly seat became vacant. After this, his wife Rinki Kol became MLA by winning the May 2023 by-election on Apna Dal (S) ticket.
