Apex conference on financial synergy and harmonisation in armed forces on August 5, CDS will preside

New Delhi, 04 August (HS). Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan will deliver the keynote address by chairing the top-level tri-service financial conference at the Manekshaw Center on August 05. The aim of this conference is to increase coherence and synergy in the financial issues of the armed forces. The conference will be attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Defense (Finance), Controller General of Defense Accounts, Integrated Financial Advisors of Services, Government e-Market Place, Service Headquarters and Indian Coast Guard Headquarters.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the IDS Headquarters is coordinating this conference for the set objectives on integration and jointness in the armed forces, so that cooperation on financial issues can be increased and there can be more synergy. Discussions are scheduled on aspects of understanding the viewpoint of various stakeholders in defense finance and finding solutions to the challenges in defense procurement. Financial Advisor (Defense Services) and Director General (Acquisition) will also give specific talks on the roles and functions of their respective organizations. This top-level conference is an effort to bring the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Defense (Finance), Headquarters, Army Headquarters, Coast Guard and Coast Guard on one platform.
