Apart from loan waiver, support price, there is another issue on which the dispute with farmers has not ended

farmers protest : Today is the 15th day of the farmers' protest that started on 13 February. Huge protests are being seen in many states including Haryana and Punjab. Apart from this, security forces including police personnel have also been deployed at Tikri, Sindhu and Ghazipur borders following the farmers' attempted 'Delhi March'. The maximum tension between farmers and police is being seen on the Singhu border. Four meetings have been held in 15 days between farmer representatives and central government ministers on the issue of making a law for support price (MSP) and other demands, but all the meetings have failed. Apart from the legal guarantee of MSP and loan waiver of farmers, there was another important issue included in the demand of the farmers, due to which the talks between the farmer representatives and the panel of Union Ministers could not progress further.

Talks between farmers and ministers could not progress on one issue

The fourth meeting between the two parties was held in Chandigarh, where the Union ministers promised to withdraw all cases against farmers in the 2020 agitation. After this it has come to light that he has refused to do so in the case of violence at the Red Fort in 2021. Let us tell you that on January 26, 2021, farmers had reached the Red Fort with a tractor parade, where they spread violence (Red Fort Violence) and anarchy. 54 cases were registered in Delhi's Kotwali police station regarding this violence.

It was said that heinous cases of violence should not be taken back.

Many government sources said that the Union Ministers have refused to withdraw the cases related to the Red Fort. Farmers have asked the reason for this. A source associated with the meeting said, “Union ministers said that the pending cases will not be withdrawn. Farmer leaders asked, has the Red Fort violence been categorized as a capital crime? That's why he has said yes in this matter.
