A case has also been registered against former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane, who was in police custody in the cooperative fraud case, in organized crime and disproportionate assets case. District Court Kaski has extended the police custody of Ravi Lamichhane by 10 days.

Former Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane, who was in police custody for the last 20 days, was produced in the district court on Tuesday after the end of his police custody period. The government lawyer told the court that the interrogation of Ravi in ​​the Co-operative Bank fraud case has been completed, but since the nature of the crime is more than fraud, police remand for 10 more days should be given.

While filing supplementary charge sheet before District Judge Chandrakant Paudel, the government lawyer had demanded 10 days police remand for questioning, declaring him guilty against Ravi Lamichhane in cooperative fraud as well as organized crime and disproportionate assets case. Considering the seriousness of the case, Judge Paudel approved 10 days police remand. Apart from Ravi, the police remand of three other persons who were his business partners in Gorkha Media has also been extended.
