Anurag Jha got 30th rank in NEST exam, the path to becoming a scientist was paved

Araria 10 August (HS). Anurag Jha of Jogbani city, adjacent to the Nepal border of the district, brought laurels to the entire Seemanchal by securing 30th rank in the NEST examination. Anurag will study in the Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai University, Centre of Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai, under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. For admission in this institute, an examination is held every year for only 57 seats from all over India. Now the five-year study will be free and with the support of the Government of India. After completing studies from here, the path of Anurag to become a scientist will be paved.

Anurag belongs to a simple family. His mother Baby Jha is an Anganwadi worker and his father Shambhu Jha runs a footpath shop to support the family.

The family said that Anurag's dream of becoming a scientist was seen by his late grandfather Mahakant Jha and Anurag started working towards fulfilling it. He completed his studies till 10th standard from Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Jogbani and his intermediate from Kendriya Vidyalaya Purnia. The NEST exam is considered equivalent to IIT JEE Advanced and more difficult than the NEET exam. Anurag's uncle Shivaji Jha guided him and supported him a lot in preparing for the exam. Anurag said that the key to success is self-study and family support.
