Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel inaugurated the Anganwadi Center built with Rs 12 lakhs in the financial year 2023-2024 under the Area Panchayat Fund MNREGA and 15th Finance Plan in the premises of the Pre-Secondary School in Gram Sabha Dhanaita of Development Block Sikhad, by cutting the ribbon on Sunday. After this, baby shower was organized for pregnant and lactating women and Annaprashan was organized for children up to seven months of age.
The Union Minister of State said that the Government of India is making huge efforts towards brightening the future of children through Anganwadi centres. We need to understand who is the future of our family, society, country? The small child born in our home and how to strengthen the spine of that child is decided by Anganwadi centres. It is so important to give proper nutrition and a balanced diet to the smallest child. It is necessary for their physical and mental development to be correct from zero to six years of age and it is very important to monitor it. If the physical development of the child is not proper, if the child is not intellectually developed then we cannot correct it in the future.
This work cannot be done anywhere better than Anganwadi Centre. What should be the weight of the child as per his/her age and what is the average weight. Its regular investigation is being done at every Anganwadi centre. He said that the growth of the child should be like his body length and weight. Now a device is being made available in every Anganwadi center to measure whether this is happening or not.
