District Judge and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Anuppur Monica Aadhya conducted a surprise inspection of District Jail Anuppur on Thursday and took stock of the bars. During this, information was taken from the jail superintendent about the V.C. room, visiting room and hospital room.
New District Judge Monica Aadhya suddenly reached District Jail Anuppur on Thursday afternoon and took stock of men's barrack number 01 to 05. He took information from Jail Superintendent Indradev Tiwari about the V.C. room, visiting room, hospital room, and also checked the quality of food distributed to the prisoners and gave necessary instructions. During the inspection of the women's barrack, information was obtained from the women about their health, food etc. and discussions were held with them regarding their advocate and the case. Information was also taken regarding the toys and food of the children living with the female prisoners.
During the inspection, some prisoners said that they did not have a lawyer, on which District Judge Monica Aadhya immediately got the necessary applications filled from the Assistant Legal Aid Defense Council to provide free lawyers to the prisoners. He also took information about the under trial prisoner from the jail superintendent. District Legal Aid Officer Dilawar Singh, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Council Ayush Soni were present during the inspection.
