Anuppur, 4 October (Hindus). All the employees of Anuppur Municipality, under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh Shramjeevi Safai Karmachari Sangh Sambandh Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, have gone on an indefinite strike from Friday with 8-point demands due to the sanitation workers of Anuppur Municipality not receiving their salaries for two months. Due to which the cleanliness system of the city has derailed. Due to lack of cleaning for a day, garbage has started piling up in the streets. Due to lack of cleanliness, there are piles of garbage at public places including railway station, bus stand, Indira Tiraha.

On the other hand, the sanitation workers are saying that they will return to work only after the outstanding salaries are paid, due to which this problem may continue for many more days. Earlier, the sanitation workers had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Municipal Officer and warned that if the problems were not resolved within 3 days, all the employees would collectively stop work and go on strike.

It has been told that the sanitation workers working in the district headquarters have not been paid salaries for the last 2 months. Along with this, he is continuously demanding payment of salary from the Municipal Corporation, despite this he is not getting paid. Along with Navratri, the festival of Diwali is this month, but due to non-payment of salaries to the sanitation workers, there is no food ration left in their homes, due to which they have been forced to go on an indefinite strike. Madhya Pradesh Shramjeevi Safai Karmachari Sangh had submitted an 8-point memorandum to the Chief Municipal Officer on October 1, demanding action.

Sanitation workers told that the sanitation workers of Anuppur Napa will be given 2 months salary and as per the instructions of the government from April 2024, they will be given increased salary and its arrears, salary payment of all the employees will be fixed within 1 to 5 date, 5 date will be given. If the salary is not paid by the 6th, he is warned to stop work from the 6th. 9 vacant posts of Class IV have not been filled yet, on which employees should be appointed on the basis of seniority, all the employees are not able to get the benefits of the facilities given by the government level, they should be provided, sanitation workers should be provided with unskilled jobs. They should be included in the semi-skilled category, four sanitation workers who had not received payment for two months during the Corona period should be given the same, the employees should be given the benefit of medical facilities.
