Secondary News: The atmosphere in Sector-68 of Mohali has become tense after the death of Dilpreet Singh (16), who was injured in an attack by migrants with sharp weapons. The area has been converted into a police cantonment. Police is on alert mode in village Kumbhara. As a precautionary measure, police are keeping an eye on Kumbhara and Airport Road. 250 policemen have been deployed. Apart from this, senior police officers are also keeping an eye on the entire situation.

Let us inform that on Thursday evening, Dilpreet Singh (16), who was injured in an attack with sharp weapons by migrants in Sector-68 (Village Kumbhra) of Mohali, also died in PGI, while his friend Damanpreet Singh also died. 17) He died on 13 November. Police have so far arrested five accused in this case, but two are still absconding. All the attackers lived in PG of Kumbhara.

As soon as the death of Dilpreet Singh was known, village Kumbhara was shifted to the police cantonment on Thursday evening. Policemen are deployed at the entrances of Kumbhara in the locality. Remember that on November 14, the victim’s family and villagers had kept Damanpreet’s body on the Airport Road and blocked traffic for three days. DSP Harsimrat Singh said that vigil has been increased in Kumbhara to maintain law and order situation. He said that the postmortem of the body will be done today in PGI only. The last rites will be performed by the family later.
