Jammu and Kashmir terrorist attack : Seven people have died in indiscriminate firing by terrorists in Sonamarg area of ​​Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. Five of the dead were foreigners, including two officers and three labourers. Apart from this, a doctor has also died and five people have been injured in the attack. A tunnel was being built here, suddenly terrorists arrived with weapons and started firing. At present, the police convoy along with the security forces has reached the spot and has cordoned off the entire area to nab the terrorists. The Chief Minister and Governor of Jammu and Kashmir have condemned the attack.

Attack on workers building tunnel

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the officers and laborers who were working on the construction of the Z Mode Tunnel connecting Central Kashmir and Ganderbal district have been targeted by the terrorists. At present, a team of security forces is conducting a search operation in the entire area to catch the terrorists. Regarding the incident, Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the entire area has been cordoned off.

Chief Minister condemned the terrorist attack

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has reacted to the firing incident. He said, 'A tragic incident of cowardly attack on migrant workers has taken place in Gagnir of Sonamarg area. These employees were working on infrastructure projects in the area. Two people have died in this attack, while two to three people have been injured. I strongly condemn the attack on these unarmed innocent people and express my condolences to their families.

Terrorist attacks on migrant laborers continue

The workers injured in the terrorist attack are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Among the injured, Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Punjab, has died. Apart from this, one more three local people from Bihar have also died. Let us tell you that two days ago terrorists had attacked the workers, in which a laborer from Bihar was allegedly killed. The incidents of attacks on migrant laborers in Jammu and Kashmir have raised concerns. Two migrant laborers also died in the month of April.
