Kabul: The condition of women is not good in most Islamic countries, but in Afghanistan their condition was even worse. Due to Taliban rule here, their situation has become very difficult. Taliban's supreme leader Mullah Hibatullah Tholudzada has issued another decree against women, according to which any woman who has sex with a man will be killed by stoning or flogging.
A radio message of this entire day has been published. In this he has challenged the democracy of western countries. He has also announced strict implementation of Sharia law. In this he said that 'You say that this is a violation of women's rights, but the Sharia law of stoning or flogging a woman who has a relationship with a man will soon be implemented.' The rights given to women in western countries are against Sharia and the advice of clerics. These are the same clerics who have overthrown Western democracy. We have fought the West for 20 years, if need be we will fight for the next 20 years also. We are not going to sit idle and drink tea. We will continue to re-enforce Sharia.
Recently a United Nations report has been published on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan. In this, concern was expressed over the arbitrary imprisonment of women and girls. Not only this but they are also physically abused in jails. In that report, there has been a demand for immediate removal of restrictions imposed on women in Afghanistan.
Observers say it is water over stone. Taliban is turning back the clock.
