Another fight between Pakistan on Champions Trophy issue, talks started with the government

Under the hybrid model, India will play its matches at some other neutral venue. The remaining matches will be played in Pakistan. Asia Cup 2023 was also organized in a similar manner. However, now after India's refusal, ICC is considering shifting the entire tournament to some other country. Now according to a PCB source, the Pakistan government has asked the PCB to refuse to play in the tournament if the tournament is shifted to another place.

Pakistan government issued instructions to PCB

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is also the Union Home Minister in the Government of Pakistan. He was in touch with government officials. And was waiting to see what instructions Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif gives. There is also speculation that the Pakistan government may direct the PCB not to play against India in any ICC or other multi-team events starting with the Champions Trophy, unless the Indian government changes its policy.
