Annual Bhairam Jatra Puja Vidhan concluded in the princely era Bhairamdev temple

Jagdalpur, August 11 (HS). There is a princely era temple of Bhairamdev about 200 meters away from the Danteshwari temple in the district headquarters, which was built in 1936 by Bastar Maharaja Pravirchandra Bhanjdev. Today, on Sunday, the annual Bhairam Jatra Puja Vidhan organized at the Bhairam temple located at Panch Chowk was completed with yajna-havan according to the princely era tradition in the presence of members of Utkal society. During this, BJP State President and MLA Kiran Dev participated in the Bhairam Jatra Puja Vidhan and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of Bastar and the state.

Utkal Samaj president Praful Mishra said that Bhairamdev is worshipped in the form of Bhairam Jatra festival on the Shukla Paksha of the month of Saavan, in which more than 12 goats are sacrificed. After visiting Maa Danteshwari, devotees follow the tradition of visiting this temple near Panchpath Chowk to worship and visit Bhairam Dev.
