Annual athletic competition concluded at Sainik School Tilaiya, Deputy Commissioner rewarded the winning participants

Koderma, 20 July (HS). Athletics Competition The three-day 'Annual Athletics Competition 2024-25' concluded on Saturday at Sainik School Tilaiya. Deputy Commissioner Koderma Megha Bhardwaj was the chief guest of the closing ceremony of this three-day competition. This domestic competition of various athletics events played in different categories of boys and girls was full of many thrilling performances of military students. In this event, all the twelve home-teams performed excellently and introduced team spirit. At the closing ceremony, the chief guest Deputy Commissioner took the salute of the parade and distributed the prizes and announced the closing of 'Sainik School Annual Athletics Competition 2024-25'.

The results of this three-day competition were also very surprising. In some events, the score was completely in one direction. In athletics, Mithila Griha won almost all the medals in high jump, 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 4-100 meters, 4400 meters race of senior-junior boys. In shot-put, 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 4-100 meters race of senior-junior girls, only two girls, Cadet Sameeksha Kumari Minj and Cadet Manju Kumari Hansda, together won all the medals and became the best athletes of this year. The award for the best athlete in the junior and senior category of boys was received by two military- peace students of Mithila House, Cadet Sumit Kachhap, Cadet Sameer, Suman Bhogta, while other competitive-victorious houses, Gautam, Maurya, Kunwar Singh, Vikram, Pataliputra, Aryabhatta, Rajgir, Magadh, Vaishali, won in many competitions. It is known that all these victorious military students will be seen competing with other regional teams in the 'Interzonal Sports Competition 2024-25' organized at Sainik School Purulia in the coming days.

On this occasion, senior officer of Indian Army and Principal Colonel S Mohanrao R encouraged all the participants and said that just by participating, all possibilities of victory come alive. The aim of our education is that all the youth of the country should learn the liveliness of victory and defeat by doing possible and impossible situations. On this occasion, the victory officer of Indian Army Education Corps and the Vice Principal of the school, Lieutenant Colonel Lalnun Syama and other dignitaries were also present.
