After the recent cut, now the price of domestic LPG cylinder can go up to Rs 800 after booking.
This announcement comes as another step by the government to provide relief to the citizens. Earlier, the government had reduced the prices of LPG cylinders by Rs 200 in August 2023.
The timing of these measures is being seen as a series of gifts from the central government just ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, it was announced to extend the subsidy for one more year under the Ujjwala scheme.
