After two failed attempts, now the farmers are all set to march to Delhi. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher gave information about this decision in the press conference. He informed that a group of 101 farmers will leave for Delhi on December 14. Earlier, Haryana Police had stopped farmers from crossing the border twice.

Punjab and Haryana High Court refused to hear the PIL filed demanding opening of Shambhu and Khanauri borders. The High Court said that this matter is already pending in the Supreme Court. Subsequently, the petitioner withdrew his application.
Supreme Court’s rebuke
The Supreme Court had also rejected the petition for opening the border a day earlier. The court had reprimanded the petitioner for repeatedly filing petitions on the same issue.
