Bhagalpur, August 13 (HS). ANM workers working on contract in the district submitted a memorandum regarding their demands to Bhagalpur MLA Ajit Sharma on Tuesday. These workers have informed the MLA that the discriminatory, impractical, inhuman and unfair order regarding attendance from FRAAS applicable for ANM workers should be withdrawn. Pay for equal work should be implemented in the light of Resolution No. 12534 and subsequent resolutions of the General Administration Department of the Government. The outstanding honorarium (four-five months) should be paid. Necessary facilities like toilets, drinking water, electricity etc. should be arranged at the health sub-centers. The amount of internet package should be provided for sending work reports online.
The repressive actions including the cases registered against the ANM workers involved in the work boycott movement should be withdrawn. The service of all ANM workers should be made regular and the facility of voluntary transfer should be provided. The demand letter given by MLA Sharma was immediately sent to the Chief Minister of Bihar, Health Minister of Bihar, District Magistrate Bhagalpur and Civil Surgeon Bhagalpur to consider their demands and resolve their problems.
