Araria, 06 July (HS). ANMs posted in various PHCs and APHCs of the district including Sadar Hospital have gone on indefinite strike from Saturday in protest against marking attendance on Face App.
Earlier, ANM workers posted in PHC and APHC protested against the Face App. ANM workers posted in APSCs of different places in the area including Araria Sadar Hospital, Forbesganj Sub-Divisional Hospital protested and expressed their displeasure and raised slogans against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Health Minister Mangal Pandey.
On this occasion, ANM Kanchan Kumari, Sunita Kumari, Abha Kumari, Kritika Kumari, Gunjan Kumari, Pallavi Singh Ruby Rani, Shweta Kumari, Sonam Kumari, Kalpana Kumari, Sunita Kumari Sonali Kumari, Kumari Gayatri and others said that we work in remote rural areas. In such a situation, we will have to face problems like network etc. in registering attendance on Face App.
We have to mark our presence on the Face App three times. Once at ten o'clock, second time at one-thirty and third time at five in the evening. Where there is a problem of network in remote rural areas. If we do not mark our presence on the app, we will be considered absent even if we are working. ANM workers said that it is summer and rainy season right now, in winter it becomes night by five in the evening. There is a problem in staying till late evening in remote areas. Many APSCs do not even have facilities like toilets, water etc. The protesting ANM workers said that all of us ANM workers should get salary like regular workers. At the same time, the ANM workers protesting in Forbesganj handed over a signed memorandum regarding their demands to the Medical Officer in Charge of Forbesganj Referral Hospital, Dr. Rajiv Basak.
Meanwhile, Rajiv Basak, in-charge of Forbesganj Referral Hospital, said that it is the government's instruction that attendance will have to be registered from one's location area on the Face App.
