Kapurthala: The body of a female teacher of the Jack and Jill School for disabled children was found hanging in her room under suspicious circumstances on Thursday evening in the RCF campus of Kapurthala. After receiving the information, DAP Sub Division Harpreet Singh reached the spot along with the police party, took possession of the body and started investigation. The deceased female teacher has been identified as 32-year-old Ramandeep Kaur, resident of village Nesra Dasuha. DSP Sub-Division Harpreet Singh said that the family of the female teacher has accused the school principal and the watchman of harassing her, after which a case has been registered against the accused after recording the statement of the father of the deceased student.
According to the information, the body of female teacher Ramandeep Kaur was first seen hanging in the room by the female caretaker, after which she informed the school management as well as the police. After receiving information about the incident, DSP Sub-Division Harpreet Singh, SHO Sadar Mukesh Kumar, SHO City Sanjeevan Singh reached the spot and started investigation. According to Amarjeet Singh, father of the deceased girl, his daughter Ramandeep Kaur was working as a teacher in the same school for the last 4 years. In the evening he received information from the police that his daughter had committed suicide.
Police station Sadar has registered a case under section 306 against the school principal Babita Rani wife Ramesh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar son Mukhtar Singh resident RCF on the statements of the deceased girl's father Rashmi. At present the accused are out of police custody.
