Congress candidate from Kangra-Chamba parliamentary constituency and former minister Anand Sharma said that in a democracy, the people take account of the parties in power in the elections. He said this while addressing the people in various street meetings organized in the Jwalamukhi assembly constituency of Kangra district on Friday.

Anand Sharma said that the children who were eight years old in 2014 are now 18 years old. Every parent is concerned that their children should have a good life, make a name for themselves in the country and the world, and get good jobs. In such a situation, the people of the country were very attracted to the talk of good days and they hoped that by the time their children grew up, the country would have a way forward, but those same eight-year-old children are now 18 years old and will cast their vote for the first time, and the condition of the country is different.
He said that after 10 years of Modi Government, only unemployment and inflation are visible. The youth are not able to see anything in the future. In the last 10 years, there was only noise of success, but no one knows what has been done for the future of the coming generation and neither is anyone telling. There is no account of the claims of 2 crore jobs every year. He said that Modi Government has spent its 10 years cursing and insulting the previous governments.
He said that this election holds special importance for the country and the world. This is the biggest election of the biggest panchayat, which is also the biggest election in the world. The eyes of the world are fixed on what kind of government the people of India will choose. There are many problems in the world, there are economic conflicts, war is going on. He said that if the people of the country take the right decision in the current elections, then the country will move forward with the spirit of brotherhood without any tension, which will give relief to the whole world.
