An Indian pipe and tube manufacturer to start production in Louisiana, US

Washington: Howrah-based Global Seamless Tubes and Pipes Exports is now going to start production in the US state of Louisiana by investing $35 million. The factory in northwest Louisiana is also expected to create hundreds of jobs in the area.

State-of-the-art machinery will be used in Louisiana, and both hot finishing and cold drawn manufacturing processes will be performed.

Giving this information, company president AR Biswas told reporters that our company is spread in 10 countries of the world. Most of the work will be done by machines in our factory in Louisiana. However, the first phase will create 135 new director positions in Desoro Parish, Louisiana. Additionally, Louisiana Economic Development estimates that 251 indirect new jobs will be created. Thus, 386 new jobs are likely to be created in the northwestern part of Louisiana.

AR Biswas further said that natural gas is found in abundance in Louisiana. So we naturally chose this area. It is the first such venture to be launched in the Western Hemisphere. We have already launched our facilities in 10 different locations in the Eastern Hemisphere. But this will be our first facility in the Western Hemisphere. This will allow us to serve our customers located in the Western Hemisphere faster and more easily.
