An Indian-origin professor in America received America's highest academic honor

Indian-American engineer and professor Ashok Veeraraghavan has been awarded Texas' highest academic honor. Veeraraghavan has been awarded the Edith and Peter O'Donnell Prize in Engineering. Indian-American engineer and professor Ashok Veeraraghavan is originally from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

After receiving the award, he said in an interview that I am very happy to receive the award. The Texas Academy of Medicine, Engineering, Science and Technology (TAMEST) presents this award to emerging researchers in the state. According to Tomest, Veeraraghavan is a professor at Rice University's George R. Brown is a professor of electrical and computer engineering in the School of Engineering.
