Now the last rites of both will be performed together and both will be cremated together.
Shakeela, wife of Atiur Rahman (72 years), son of Havivur Rahman, living in Mohalla Garhi Izzat Khan of Kotwali Kaimganj area of Farrukhabad, was ill for the last several years. Their only son died in an accident several years ago. Shakeela died on Tuesday evening due to prolonged illness. Preparations were being made to bury Shakeela.
Meanwhile, husband Atiur Rahman's health started deteriorating due to a sudden shock. Neighbors Sohail, Chaman, Abdul, Bablu took him to a private doctor. The doctor declared his condition critical and referred him to CHC Kaimganj. He was admitted there. After this, he was referred to the district hospital.
At around 9:15 pm, emergency medical officer Dr. Rishikant Verma declared Atiur Rahman dead at the district hospital. Sohail, who lives in the neighbourhood, said that now preparations are being made to bury both of them together.
