Jaunpur, 06 August (HS). The PhD viva of Amit Mishra, a researcher of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, was organized on Tuesday. This research has been completed under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Sunil of the Department of Mass Communication. Through this research, an attempt has been made to understand the reality of social reality in Indian society from the point of view of Raghu Rai's photography.
In his research, the researcher has analyzed various aspects of society through Raghu Rai's photographs. He has tried to show how Raghu Rai's photo journalism has highlighted the social, cultural and political issues of the society. In his research, he studied the methods and approaches of Raghu Rai's photography and explained how these photographs play an important role in understanding the reality of society and presenting it to the general public. The external expert was Prof. Anil Kumar Upadhyay, former head of the department of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth.
During the viva voce, the experts appreciated Amit Mishra's research and praised the depth and accuracy of the work done by him. They also said that this research is not only an important contribution in the field of photo journalism, but it is also an important reference for sociology and media studies. On this occasion, all the people of the department including external examiner Prof. Anil Kumar Upadhyay, Prof. Manoj Mishra, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Digvijay Singh Rathore, Dr. Chandan Singh were present.
