Famous poet and actor Shailesh Lodha turned 55 today. Shailesh Lodha started his career with Sony, Sab TV's famous TV serial 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma'. Along with the title role, he was also made the narrator of this serial. After working in the show for almost 14 years, Asit Modi decided to leave the popular TV show due to differences with the production house.

Even after leaving 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', Shailesh Lodha was not paid his dues. For almost a year, he waited to get his dues from the production. But after a long wait, when he did not get money from the production, Shailesh Lodha filed a case against Asit Modi and his production company 'Neela Telefilms' in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). The court ruled in favor of Shailesh Lodha in this entire matter and ordered the production of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' to pay him the outstanding amount and finally Asit Modi's production demanded Rs 20 lakh
Shailesh Lodha stuck to his point
In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV after his victory, Shailesh Lodha said that his fight is not for money but for justice and self-respect and after winning this case he feels that he has achieved something big. Shailesh further said that I am very happy with this victory that finally this truth has come out in front of everyone. Actually, the producer wanted me to sign some papers before paying the dues, there were many conditions in these papers. One of these conditions was that I would not talk to the media. But I did not bow down to them. Why do I need to sign any papers to get my rightful money?

Actually, while doing Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Shailesh Lodha was offered a comedy show. He wanted to do a comedy show along with 'Taarak Mehta…'. But the production house did not allow him to do another show. Shailesh Lodha did not like the production and he decided to leave the show.
