Vadodara News: During Ganeshotsav and Navratri festivals, Vadodara Corporation has conducted verification of people involved in the sale of food items in various areas of the city. In which 18 samples taken by the Municipal Corporation team have failed. Out of which 17 samples are non-standard. Whereas one sample has turned out to be unsafe. Legal action will be taken against these traders under the Food Safety and Standards Act.

Keeping in mind the betterment of public health in urban areas, as per the instructions of Corporation Commissioner Dilip Rana, under the guidance of Designated Officer and Additional Health Officer Dr. Mukesh Vaidya, food safety officers of the Food Branch were distributed in various areas during Ganeshotsav and Navratri festivals. Intensive campaign was conducted on manufacturing firms, wholesalers, retail shops, restaurants, food vending establishments, dairy vigere selling ghee, various brands of oil, cocoa powder, mendo, mavo, boondi, palak sev, juice vigere.
