Lucknow, May 20 (Hindustan Reporter) In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha, among the 14 seats of UP, Lucknow Lok Sabha seat had the lowest turnout of 52.23 percent. Whereas in Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha constituency, the second seat of Lucknow district, 62.72 percent voting took place. During this period, voting was also done through postal ballot, in which 3653 votes were cast in Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha and 5511 votes were cast through postal ballot in Lucknow Lok Sabha.
Lucknow West Assembly witnessed the best turnout among the five assemblies falling in Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency. 54.23 percent voting in Lucknow West Assembly showed great enthusiasm among the voters. After this, 52.42 percent voting took place in Lucknow Central Assembly. Only 52.24 percent voting could take place in Lucknow East Assembly.
In Lucknow, the voting percentage was very low in Lucknow North and Lucknow Cantt. In both the assembly constituencies, the election teams had worked hard to create new voters and remove names of fake voters. There was 51.48 percent voting in Lucknow North and 49.28 percent voting in Lucknow Cantt area.
In Lok Sabha Mohanlalganj, 66.49 percent voting took place from Sidhauli assembly constituency, 63.90 percent from Malihabad assembly constituency, 65.68 percent from BKT assembly constituency, 54.44 percent from Sarojininagar assembly constituency and 66.30 percent from Mohanlalganj assembly. Thus the total voting in Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha was 62.53 percent.
