Jammu, August 31 (HS). The Indian Army held an amity meeting with local residents of Poshana in Poonch district to enhance interaction and improve coordination between the Army and the community. Organised to promote better relations and address local concerns, the meeting was aimed at strengthening collective efforts against terrorist activities in the area.
During the meeting, the Indian Army provided updates on the current security situation and outlined its ongoing efforts to counter terrorist threats within the region. The briefing was designed to apprise and engage residents of the Army's initiatives, ensure transparency, and foster a collaborative environment.
The meeting also served as a platform for residents to express their concerns and discuss various issues affecting their village. Emphasising the importance of cooperation, the discussion highlighted the joint responsibility of both the Indian Army and the local population in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.
A total of 22 local residents attended the meeting and their feedback was appreciated by the Indian Army. Open dialogue and exchange of information was seen as an important step towards enhancing mutual trust and cooperation.
