Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan was recently honored with the Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar Award. Amitabh was given this award on April 24, on the memorial day of Lata Mageshkar's father and music emperor Dinanath Mangeshkar. Along with this, music director AR Rahman was honored with Master Dinanath Award and Randeep Hooda with special award.
Amitabh said, father and poet Harivansh Rai Babachan always compared Lata Mangeshkari's voice to a stream of honey. I am fortunate to have received this award. I never understood this. But this has happened due to the efforts of Hridaynath ji. They had called me last year also, but I could not come.
Let us tell you that Deenanath Mangeshkar Award is given every year to the person who is the leader in contribution to the country and society. The first award was given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After that in 2023 it was given to Lata Mangeshkar's sister Asha Bhosle.
