Hazaribagh, August 3 (HS). A departmental seminar was organized in the postgraduate philosophy department of the university on Saturday. Students of the second semester participated in it. The topic of the seminar was the relation between philosophy and science and the scientific method. Head of the department Dr. Amit Kumar Singh said that philosophy gives directions to science. If science is not controlled, then science will become autocratic.

Assistant Professor of the Department Dr. Yamini Sahay said that in the 21st century, the dependence of people on scientific equipment is increasing. Electronic equipment has reduced our basic consciousness. Due to this, our mental ability has started decreasing. Vijay Kujur shed light on the subject through natural songs. Researcher Vijay Chaudhary said that coordination of ethics is necessary in the field of science and technology. Mohammad Fazal said that the things contained in philosophy provide its basis in modern science. Rajesh Kumar said that both science and philosophy complement each other.

Amit Ranjan, Anil Ravidas, Abhishek Kumar Singh, Vivekanand, Maharishi Arvind, Saba Firdaus addressed the seminar. The departmental council decided that every Friday in the departmental seminar, researchers will present their subject papers and the participants will be given certificates. The topic of next Friday will be a discussion on comparative study of Indian ethics and western ethics.
