Amit Shah reached Ranchi airport on Saturday to attend the meeting of BJP's extended working committee. When his convoy left for Birsa Chowk from Ranchi airport, two persons on a bike started following his convoy. As soon as this matter came to the notice of the security personnel, the police took both of them into custody on the spot. It is learned that both the youths were drunk at that time.
Hatia DSP Pramod Kumar Mishra said that the accused was not a part of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's convoy. He was riding the bike at a high speed and was following the convoy, so we have detained him.
It has been learned that both the people caught have been identified. One of them is named Ankit and the other is named Mohit. The person who breached the security of the Union Home Minister said that he is not a criminal. He did not know whose convoy was going.
