New Delhi, 28 September (HS). Today, a grateful nation is paying tribute to the greatest revolutionary of the Indian independence movement, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, by remembering him with emotion. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress have paid tribute to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary.

It is noteworthy that Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh was born on September 28, 1907 in Banga, Punjab (now Pakistan). He fought to free Mother India from the chains of British slavery. He was given death sentence at a young age on 23 March 1931 in Lahore jail. Bhagat Singh's inspirational slogan 'Inquilab Zindabad' awakens the feeling of patriotism.
