Ban on sweets in Ghaziabad temple: After the laddu controversy in Tirupati temple, now a new system regarding Prasad is being implemented in most of the temples. In which a ban has been imposed on offering market sweets in three temples of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Ban on offering Prasad from outside in these temples
Among these, a board was put up in Dudheshwarnath temple on Monday itself regarding the ban on market offerings. On Wednesday, a ban has been imposed on offering Prasad in the market at Devi Temple at Delhi Gate and Hanuman Temple at Sanjay Nagar. For the last few days, people have been avoiding offering outside offerings to the idols of God.
Only this Prasad can be offered
Giving this information, Chief Trustee VK Aggarwal said that during and after Navratri, only jaggery, gram, fruits, coconut, sugar candy and petha will be offered to the Lord. Apart from this, the devotees who bring Prasad from their home like Kheer, Puri, Halwa, food or any other food item can also be given. But sweets purchased from the market are not offered to God.
For this reason this decision was taken
Narayangiri Maharaj of the temple said that nowadays so much adulteration is taking place that it is not even checked properly. Offering such adulterated sweets to God in the temple is against Sanatan Dharma and scriptures, which is tantamount to violating the sanctity of the temple. Therefore, this decision has been taken to maintain the sanctity and validity of the temples.
