Amethi, March 12 (HS). Union Women and Child Development, Minority Welfare Minister and Amethi MP Smriti Irani had written a letter to the Home Minister and Railway Minister on the last Shardiya Navratri to name the railway stations of her parliamentary constituency after the temples of Gods and Goddesses and local great men.
The Ministry has started the process of changing the names of eight railway stations of Amethi parliamentary constituency including Jais, Nihalgarh. Soon the railway stations of Amethi parliamentary constituency will get mythological and religious identity. These stations will be known by the changed name.
Vijay Gupta, representative of Union Minister Smriti Irani, said that Smriti Irani named the railway station Mishrauli after the Shaktipeeth Maa Kalikan Dham located in Sangrampur, Jais as Guru Gorakhnath Dham, Bani Railway Station as Swami Paramhans Dham, Kasimpur Halt after the poet. Home Minister and Railways to name Jais City after Jayasi, Fursatganj as Tapeshwar Nath Dham, Nihalgarh as Maharaja Bijli Pasi, Akbarganj Railway Station as Shakti Peeth Ma Ahorva Bhavani Dham in Singhpur, Warisganj after Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan. The minister had sent a letter to the Government of India.
Agreeing to Smriti Irani's letter, the Government of India has expedited the process of changing the naming of railway stations. Soon eight railway stations of the parliamentary constituency will be identified with the names of great men and religious places associated with Amethi. With the renaming of railway stations, Amethi parliamentary constituency will also get its old and glorious mythological identity.
