Washington: The Association of Indian-American Minorities (AIAM) on Friday invited Narendra Modi in his absence to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Slingo town of Maryland for the upliftment of minorities. Martin Luther King Jr. awarded the Global Peace Prize.

The award was founded by renowned Sikh humanitarian Jasdeep Singh. He is also its founder and president. It is managed by a board of directors consisting of 7 members. Its directors are Baljindersingh, Sukhpal Singh Ghanai (both Sikh), Pawan Bezwada and Elisa Univarty (Christian), Deepak Thakkar (Hindu), Junaid Qazi (Muslim) and Nissim Reuben (Indian Jew).
Addressing the community present, AIAM President Jasdeep Singh urged everyone to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a developed India by 2047. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has adopted a holistic approach. There every citizen is given equal opportunity without any discrimination of religion, caste or sect.
Speaking on the occasion, Nissin Rubin, a Jewish Indian American, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to revive India’s historical harmony and ancient ties with the Jews. He said that I am coming from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. And we Jews proudly say that India is our motherland. India is the only country in the world where no anti-Jewish action has taken place in its 2000 year history. This is the truth. It may be possible that the West is not fully aware of this. Now that information is gradually becoming available. Prime Minister Modi has also often mentioned India, Israel and the ancient relations between Indians and Jews in his speeches.
