US report on human rights violations in China : The whole world knows that Muslims are being persecuted in China, but the kind of information that comes out about this is shocking.
America has once again exposed China by releasing a report. According to this report, from 2017 to 2023, 1 million Muslims including Uighurs have been arbitrarily arrested and put behind bars in China.
The US State Department has said, 'We will continue to support those around the world who respect human rights and fight for people's freedom. Since 2017, the Chinese government has detained more than 1 million people in China. They have been put under house arrest or put in jail. Journalists, lawyers, writers, social media bloggers and other freedom advocates are being prosecuted at will by the Chinese government. Besides, internet has also been banned. Human rights violations are very common in China and people from minority communities are being targeted and weapons of violence are used against them.
The Foreign Ministry has further said, 'The Chinese government has not taken any steps to identify and take action against officials who violate human rights. We have also learned that people have died in a labor camp in Zhejiang, China. The bodies of at least 26 Uyghur Muslims held in Tumshuk prison in another province were handed over to their families ahead of the Eid holidays, a media report said. Not only this but people are disappearing in many parts of the country.
The report released by the Ministry of External Affairs also alleges that 'human rights activists, journalists, religious leaders and their family members who raise their voice for Muslims are arrested by the police at any time and put in jail.'
