India-US Nuclear Corporation : To deepen trade relations between India and America, America has decided to lift the ban on nuclear deals between the two countries. The US will lift sanctions with the aim of establishing tie-ups between Indian nuclear companies and American companies. At the same time, last month America had imposed sanctions on many nuclear companies of Pakistan. Which is a shocking decision for Pakistan.

America’s National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan gave this information. Top officials of the Joe Biden administration met at IIT-Delhi along with India’s security advisor Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister S. Had a meeting with Jaishankar and discussed this issue. He presented the decision to remove the sanctions imposed 26 years ago and establish transparent trade relations between India and the US.

These restrictions were imposed after the Pokhran nuclear test.

In May 1998, India conducted nuclear tests in Pokhran. Angered by this, America imposed sanctions on many nuclear companies of India. Which included Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Department of Atomic Energy, Indira Gandhi Atomic Research Centre, Indian Rare Earth, Nuclear Reactors. Now with the removal of these restrictions, Indian and American companies will work together. Sullivan said, ‘India is the first country with which America will work on semiconductor technology.’

A historic step to lift the ban

Sullivan said, ‘In the meeting between the country’s then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former US President George Bush, an ambitious plan of India and the US Civil Nuclear Corporation was unveiled. An India-US civil nuclear agreement was later signed in 2008, but plans to supply US nuclear reactors could not materialize due to regulatory challenges. Recognizing their unrealistic approach, today we announce that the United States will now lift long-standing sanctions and enter into a civilian nuclear alliance between companies from the two countries.’

banned pakistan

America had imposed sanctions on Pakistan’s nuclear companies last month. The reason behind which was given was that Pakistan is preparing a missile which is capable of directly targeting America. However, Pakistan termed this American claim as baseless and said that this action has been taken wrongly.
