America seized the plane of Venezuelan leader Nicolas and took it to Florida | News India

New York/New Delhi, 03 September (HS) America has seized an airplane belonging to Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. According to the US Justice Department, this plane was taken to Florida on Monday. It is alleged that Nicolas Maduro had purchased it by fraud and violating US sanctions.

According to the New York Times, the Biden administration is upset with Nicolas Maduro for not accepting the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela and wants to put pressure on Maduro to accept the election results and leave power.

As far as the plane is concerned, the US Justice Department says that Nicolas Maduro fraudulently bought this plane from the US. First, this US-made plane was bought by creating a shell company in the US, then it was taken to Venezuela so that Nicolas Maduro and his associates could use it. The Dassault Falcon 900 EX plane was bought for $13 million in the name of a shell company. The US Justice Department, State Department and Commerce Department took joint action and seized this plane when it was brought to the Dominican Republic for repairs. The US Security Department has taken this plane to Florida.

It is noteworthy that presidential elections were held in Venezuela on 28 July this year. The Biden administration alleges that Nicolas Maduro has lost the election but instead of accepting the result, he is rejecting it and remains in power. Whereas on August 01, US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken declared Maduro's rival Edmundo Gonzalez as the winner in the elections. Blinken said in a statement, “We congratulate Edmundo Gonzalez on his successful campaign.”

However, Maduro says that the US is abusing its power around the world, especially in the Western Hemisphere, and is unnecessarily interfering in his country. The US says that Venezuela's own election observers have clearly stated that Maduro has not been able to present any proof of his victory so far.
