US imposes ban on Pakistan LPG range ballistic missile program: In a major blow to Pakistan, the US on Wednesday suddenly imposed sanctions on four organizations contributing to its ballistic missile programme. US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said that America is constantly monitoring Pakistan’s program and we had earlier also expressed concern on this matter.
America issued a statement
In a post on X, Miller said that today the US is releasing the names of four organizations that were contributing to Pakistan’s ballistic missile program. These organizations make weapons of mass destruction. Now under the sanctions, any US assets of these entities will be seized and US citizens will be prevented from transacting or doing business with these companies.
Pakistan also got angry
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry also reacted and said that this action of America is unfortunate and biased. This will harm regional stability. According to a fact sheet by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Islamabad-based National Development Complex (NDC) had sought to purchase equipment for Pakistan’s long-range ballistic missile program and missile testing equipment. It said the NDC was responsible for Pakistan’s ballistic missile development, including the Shaheen family of missiles.
