About 800 people representing the families of the couples attended the ceremony. Beginning the ceremony, the Ambani family pledged to continue supporting hundreds of such weddings across the country during the upcoming wedding season. Mukesh Ambani was also present at the ceremony along with his wife Nita. A card was also released on behalf of the Ambani family in this regard. The mass wedding, initially organized at Swami Vivekananda Vidya Mandir in Palghar, was later shifted to Thane.
In a noble move by the Ambani family, a mass wedding was organised on July 2, 2024 at 4:30 pm. This change in venue was done to ensure the ceremony continued smoothly and without any disruption. The card said that RIL chief Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani were also going to attend the mass wedding.
The Ambani family blessed the couple
Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani along with their family members attended the wedding ceremony and wished the couple. Each couple was gifted gold jewellery including mangalsutra, wedding ring and nose ring as a mark of good luck. The brides also received silver jewellery like toe rings and anklets.
Additionally, each bride was presented with a cheque of Rs 1.01 lakh (1 lakh 1 thousand rupees) as 'streedhan'. Each couple was also gifted a year's supply of groceries and household items, which included 36 types of essential items, utensils, electrical appliances like gas stove, mixer and fan.
