Amazon steps into the quick commerce market in India, will challenge Blinkit and Zepto through Tez

Amazon, the giant of e-commerce sector in India, has finally announced its entry into the quick commerce market. In this new business, Amazon will compete directly with companies like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Flipkart Minutes and BigBasket. Amazon has planned to enter this sector through its rapid delivery service ‘Tez’.

This announcement was given by Amazon India Country Manager Sameer Kumar in a press conference on December 10.

Delivery will be done in 15 minutes through Amazon ‘Tez’

Speaking at the company’s flagship event ‘Sambhaav’ held in Delhi, Sameer Kumar said,
“We are excited to launch a pilot project to give our customers the option to get everyday essentials delivered in 15 minutes or less.”

Sameer Kumar further said that Amazon’s strategy has always been focused on ‘selection, value and convenience’. The company aims to build a big and profitable business in India. Amazon aims to provide the fastest and affordable services to customers in every pin-code of the country.
