New Delhi, September 18 (HS). E-commerce giant Amazon has announced the appointment of Sameer Kumar as the 'Country Manager' of India. Kumar will replace the current 'Country Manager' Manish Tiwari. He will take over operational responsibilities for India from October 1.
Giving information about the change in top leadership on Wednesday, the company said that Sameer Kumar has been appointed as the 'Country Manager' of India. Amazon said that the company has taken this decision after the resignation of the current 'Country Manager' of India Manish Tiwari. Kumar is working closely with Manish Tiwari on this change.
Amazon Senior Vice President Amit Agarwal said in an internal email that Sameer Kumar, who has 25 years of experience, will now look after the company's India consumer business as current Amazon India 'country manager' Manish Tiwari has decided to explore opportunities outside Amazon. He will take over his responsibilities for India operations from October 1. Kumar joined Amazon in 1999. He was part of the core team that planned and launched Amazon.in in 2013.
