Amazing…Pakistani officials will come to ‘Akhand Bharat’ program, Bangladesh also invited

Countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh may be jealous of India but the whole world knows that they have been a part of India in the past. Not only this, India always wants both these countries to be prosperous and in this connection, the Government of India has organized the Akhand Bharat Seminar on the occasion of completion of 150 years of India Meteorological Department (IMD). In which Pakistan, Bangladesh and other neighboring countries have also been invited. This initiative has been taken to celebrate the joint history and show unity by setting aside differences.

According to reports, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal have been invited to this program. Apart from this, invitations have also been sent to officials of some countries of Central Asia and South-West Asia.

Pakistan confirmed participation
It is noteworthy that Pakistan has confirmed its participation in the program, while Bangladesh’s confirmation is still awaited. If Bangladesh joins this program it will be a historic moment. A senior IMD official said that we want officers from all those countries to be a part of this scheme which were part of united India at the time of the establishment of IMD.

Many ministries of the Government of India 150th anniversary of IMD Have contributed in making the event memorable. The Finance Ministry has decided to issue a special commemorative coin of Rs 150. The Home Ministry has approved a special observation on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of IMD on Republic Day. At present IMD is one of the major meteorological departments. Since independence, IMD has made considerable progress in meteorology, communications and scientific innovation. In collaboration with ISRO, IMD established a 24×7 weather monitoring and cyclone warning system through INSAT satellite, making it one of the leading meteorological departments in the world.

History
The Indian Meteorological Department was established on 15 January 1875, although the said Meteorological Center was also established. The capital of Calcutta was established in 1785, Madras in 1796 and Bombay in 1826 by the British East India Company. The IMD was eventually created in 1875 after Calcutta was hit by a cyclone in 1864 followed by two fatal weather failures in 1866 and 1871, which led to famine in Bengal.

Since its establishment in 1875, the IMD was headquartered in Calcutta. He came to Shimla in 1905. Then in Pune in 1928 and finally in New Delhi in 1944. Where is it now? After independence, IMD made considerable progress in meteorology, communications and scientific innovation.
