John Pennington, who lives in Las Vegas, America, suffered brain injury, lung failure and other problems in a car accident at the age of 30. Due to this, he remained in a coma for six months, but then suddenly regained consciousness miraculously. He does not remember anything in deep sleep, but he remembers things from his past.
He said on Reddit, “I woke up thinking it was time to go to work, but for some reason I found myself tied to a hospital bed when I asked the nurse if I could use the bathroom.” She did so and ran out of the room. A few minutes later she came back and apologized and told him that he had been in a coma for the last six months due to a severe brain injury.
Soon after, he was handed a bill of 20 lakh pounds i.e. more than 21 crore 62 lakh 65 thousand rupees. This amount was very big for John. In an update, John revealed that he had originally created a GoFundMe page to help cover his medical expenses, but when nothing came of it, his lawyer asked him to help cover those costs.
He added, “My lawyer did a great job paying for everything. I was relieved when he told me everything was okay. I didn’t become rich, but I became somewhat wealthy considering how much debt I had.
