When will the journey start?
Amarnath Yatra 2024 will start from June 29 this time. This time the journey will be only for 40 days and will end on 19 August 2024.

Advance registration of devotees is required before setting out on the yatra starting from April 15, 2024. Devotees wishing to go on the yatra can register on the official website https://jksasb.nic.in. Apart from this, registration can also be done through mobile application Shri Amarnathji Yatra. After the commencement of Amarnath Yatra, morning and evening aarti will also be telecast live from the holy cave. People can participate in Aarti through website and app.
Amarnath Yatra Guide for Pilgrims
- Advance registration of passengers will start from April 15, 2024 through designated bank branches.
- No pilgrim below 13 years of age or above 70 years of age and women more than 6 weeks pregnant will be registered for the Yatra.
- For Yatra 2024, pre-registration through designated bank branches will be done through biometric eKYC authentication on real-time basis.
- Registration will be done on first come, first served basis.
- Interested travelers can register for Yatra 2024 with valid Compulsory Fitness Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Government approved identity card issued by an authorized doctor on or after 8th April 2024.
- The fee for registration through designated banks for Yatra 2024 is Rs. Is 150.
- The registered passenger will have to obtain the RFID card from any one of the centers established at various locations in the Jammu and Kashmir division before commencing the journey.
- No passenger will be allowed to cross the entry control gate at Domel/Chandanwadi without valid RF ID card.
