Ghaziabad, 15 August (HS). Cabinet Minister Sunil Sharma said here on Thursday that the freedom fighters have made many sacrifices for the freedom we are enjoying at present. To attain freedom, two paths were adopted, non-violence and revolutionary. In this freedom struggle, there are many brave freedom fighters who are known and unknown. We know that the freedom struggle has been going on since 1857, but even before that, small battles have been taking place in many areas, in which thousands of patriots have sacrificed their lives. We should remember their sacrifices and bring about all-round development of our country.
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister also narrated some stories of freedom fighters and increased the spirit of patriotism among the people. Shri Sharma was addressing the “Flag hoisting and tribute to martyrs” meeting organized by the District Administration, Municipal Corporation and Civil Defense on the occasion of 78th Independence Day celebrations at Shaheed Smarak, Shaheed Sthal Park, opposite Manan Dham, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day.
On this auspicious occasion, District Magistrate Inder Vikram, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, Chief Development Officer Abhinav Gopal, ADM Ranvijay Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner Arun Yadav, ADM City Gambhir Singh, DIO YP Singh, Chief Warden Civil Defence Lalit Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Warden Anil Agarwal, District Sainik Welfare Officer RP Singh, RWA President Tejendra Pal Tyagi and others were present. During the program, Sunil Kumar Sharma remembered the martyred freedom fighters and honored their families by garlanding them and presenting them with a plant.
