Nainital, June 7 (HS). Former Secretary IAS officer Hem Pandey attended the alumni meet held at Kumaon University on Friday. During this, he emphasized on the constructive cooperation of alumni in taking the university forward. Apart from this, he suggested creating small employment opportunities and organizing nature camps for environmental protection.
Hem Pandey said that it is necessary to promote mountain products because we have a share of three percent in world trade and only 2.5 percent in Ayurveda. Executive Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar said that alumni are the strong pillars of the university. The program was conducted by SAIL General Secretary Prof. Lalit Tiwari.
On this occasion, IFS officer Lalit Belwal, Kavita Gangola, Monard Company Chairman and Alumni Cell President Dr. BS Kalakoti, former Joint Director Dr. Satish Pant, Himmat Mewari Dr. PC Pathak, Prof. Sushma Tamta, Prof. Neelu Lodhiyal, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Deepakshi Joshi, Dr. Mohit Rautela, Dr. Manisha Sangudi, Student Union President Utkarsh Bisht and Dr. Sushma Tamta also expressed their views.
