Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has complained about party leaders to the BJP high command. Shinde complained that BJP leaders in Maharashtra were not following the coalition dharma. BJP leaders have started demanding that Shinde should vacate the seat for Raj Thackeray's son Amit. It is noteworthy that Eknath Shinde had already announced the name of sitting MLA Sada Saravankar as the candidate from Mahim seat. However, MANS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) president Raj Thackeray has fielded his son Amit Thackeray as the candidate from Mahim seat.

BJP leaders like Narayan Rane and Ashish Shelar said Shinde should withdraw the name of his candidate Sada Saravankar and support Amit Thackeray.

Shinde accused of stealing party symbol

When Eknath Shinde refused and did not withdraw the name of his candidate, Raj Thackeray publicly expressed his resentment against Shinde. Apart from this, Raj Thackeray also accused Shinde of breaking the party in 2022 and stealing Bal Thackeray's name and election symbol.

Shinde then decided that this was not going well. Therefore, despite the demand of BJP leaders, Shinde was not ready to withdraw his candidate. Later the tone of BJP leaders changed and now they say that Sada Saravankar is the candidate of Mahayuti.

Shinde's Shiv Sena ignored?

According to the information, Shiv Sena advised Shinde that Amit Thackeray should contest elections from Bhandup. Where there is no sitting MLA of Mahayuti. However, Raj Thackeray decided that Amit should contest from his home constituency, where he lives. Apart from this, BJP and Shinde will support the MNS candidate in the neighboring assembly constituency Shivadi.

Changed tune after complaint

After Chief Minister Shinde's complaint, the mood of BJP leaders has changed and now they are saying that Sada Saravankar is the official candidate of Mahayuti. If any other decision is taken, it will be decided by the top leaders of Mahayuti.
