Siliguri, September 24 (HS). After the death of an old woman at Siliguri District Hospital on Tuesday, her relatives created a ruckus alleging negligence. The name of the dead old lady is said to be Nihar Bala Das. She was a resident of Ward No. 17 of Siliguri.
The deceased's daughter-in-law said that she had brought her mother-in-law to the district hospital in the morning for treatment due to pain in her body. After showing her in the outdoor, the doctor asked to admit her mother-in-law in the emergency department. When they went to admit her, she was made to go to different places for hours. After which, as soon as the treatment started, her mother-in-law died.
The family alleges that the patient died due to the hospital's negligence. After the incident, a written complaint was submitted by the family to the District Hospital Superintendent. After which Superintendent Doctor Chandan Ghosh said that a complaint has been received regarding the matter. An investigation will be conducted on this.
