Mathura Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Shahi Idgah case: Allahabad High Court has given an important decision in the Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute of Mathura. The High Court has rejected the petition of the Muslim side challenging Order 7 Rule 11. This decision was given by a single bench of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain.
What are the demands of Hindu parties?
Let us tell you that the Muslim side had challenged the maintainability of the petitions related to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute in the High Court. These petitions were rejected by the Allahabad High Court. The High Court accepted the arguments of the Hindu side regarding the maintainability of the civil suit. In the petitions filed by the Hindu side, the land of Shahi Idgah Mosque has been declared Hindu land and the right to worship there has been demanded.
What did the Muslim side demand?
The Muslim side argued for dismissal of the petitions of the Hindu side citing the Places of Worship Act, Wakf Act, Delimitation Act and Exclusive Possession Relief Act. Earlier, the High Court had reserved the decision after the completion of the hearing on June 6. 18 petitions were filed by the Hindu side. The Muslim side questioned the maintainability of these petitions under Order 7, Rule 11 and appealed to dismiss them.
